Training for Paint Tech Jobs

Paint Tech Job Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record required (for mobile positions).
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, & reach.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.)
  • Respirators must be worn, and other protective equipment may be required to minimize frequent exposure to toxic chemicals.
  • For most paint positions 1 - 2 years auto painting experience required.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills required.

Paint Tech Job Application Process

Start by completing an online application. After you have completed the online paint technician application, one of our recruiters or local managers will contact you for a brief phone interview.

We then ask candidates to come to one of our nearby operations for a more in-depth personal interview.

When possible we also ask painters to provide a work demonstration to show their knowledge and ability.

Finally, if offered a position, you will be asked to complete a background check (criminal and driving).
