ST. LOUIS, March 27, 2017 – Dent Wizard International, the global leader in automotive reconditioning and SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Techniques) repairs, was recently featured in the St. Louis Business Journal's list of 2017 Top 150 Privately Held Companies in St. Louis. Organic growth in the dealership sector helped automotive reconditioning company Dent Wizard post a $52 million year-over-year revenue gain in 2016.
The Earth City-based company counts auto dealerships, auctions, rental companies, body shops and insurance firms as its five main segments, according to President and CEO Terry Koebbe.
The company grew revenue 30 percent in 2015 by completing four acquisitions. However, Dent Wizard completed no M&A deals in 2016 for the first time in years, Koebbe said.
“We looked at a bunch of companies, but nothing came to fruition,” he said. However, “acquisitions will continue to be part of our strategy moving forward.”
Dent Wizard did expand in other ways in 2016. The company
opened a 3,800-square-foot call center in Maryland Heights near its headquarters, though costs were not disclosed. In addition, Koebbe said the company was named the primary vendor for hail repair services for USAA Insurance, one of the largest insurers in the country.
Also, Tammy Conner was promoted to the position of CFO after Mark Wagner left the company in June.
Dent Wizard, which was founded in 1983, is owned by private equity firm Gridiron Capital of New Canaan, Connecticut.

Adding any jobs in 2017? We will add about 30 locally and another 300 nationwide. Most will be technicians, human resources and call center positions.
